CFP: Cult Media Open Issue
Call for Papers
Intensities: The Journal of Cult Media is pleased to invite papers relating to any aspect of cult media, to form part of a broad issue that will be published in January 2017.
Topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Cult Television
- Audience Studies
- Kink, BDSM and Sexual Politics
- Promotional Materials and Cult Media
- Queer Theory
- Independent Cult Cinema
- Comic Books and Graphic Novels
- Historical Perspectives
- Video Games
- Adaptation Studies
- Star Studies
- Online Video, Virality and Social Networking
- Manga and Anime
- Fan Studies and Fan Cultures
- National/Transnational Cults
Please email Leon Hunt (Editor) at intensities@brunel.ac.uk with abstracts of up to 250 words by 1st April 2016. Completed articles of between 6,000 and 8,000 words are to be submitted by 1st August 2016. We would please ask that all submissions are sent in a separate word document, using Harvard style referencing.
We are also seeking critical essays, conference reports, book reviews, reviews of cult phenomena, interview transcripts and other possible contributions for the review section of the journal, to be considered on a case-by-case basis.
